Olé! Mexican Lager can — MixTape Drinks brewed in Vietnam
Craft Beer · Brewed in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Olé!

Mexican Lager 5.2% ABV

Brewed with cơm tấm. Made for Saigon.

What makes Olé! different?

Olé! is MixTape's most uniquely Vietnamese beer. A clean, crisp Mexican-style lager brewed with cơm tấm — the broken rice that Saigon is famous for — it bridges two cultures in one can.

The broken rice adds a subtle sweetness and silky character that you won't find in a regular lager. Light body, perfect carbonation, and a clean finish make it the most sessionable beer in the MixTape lineup. It's the beer you reach for when the temperature hits 35°C and the only thing on your mind is cold.

Brewed in Ho Chi Minh City using locally sourced cơm tấm, it's a love letter to Saigon in a can. Available at the MixTape taproom and for cold delivery across HCMC.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is cơm tấm and why is it in the beer?

Cơm tấm (literally "broken rice") is a beloved Saigon street food staple — fragmented rice grains that were traditionally considered byproduct but became a beloved local dish. MixTape uses cơm tấm as a brewing adjunct in Olé! to add a subtle grain sweetness and silky body while paying homage to Vietnamese food culture.

What does Olé! taste like?

Olé! is a light, crisp, clean Mexican-style lager with a subtle sweetness from the cơm tấm adjunct. Very refreshing, low bitterness, and easy-drinking. Think a slightly more refined and flavourful version of a classic cerveza.

Is Olé! similar to Corona or Modelo?

Olé! is inspired by the Mexican lager style that Corona and Modelo represent, but it's brewed fresh in Ho Chi Minh City with local ingredients. You'll find it crisper and more flavourful than most commercial examples of the style, with the added character from the cơm tấm adjunct.

What does Olé! mean?

"Olé!" is a Spanish exclamation of enthusiasm and approval — the shout you hear at a bullfight or a flamenco performance. For MixTape, it captures the spirit of the beer: effortlessly fun, crowd-pleasing, and impossible not to smile at.
